Last year CCH expanded its EMS services when it bought Newcastle Ambulance Services, a private ambulance service, for $1.23 million per an article in the Gillette News Record, May 7, 2022. Who is providing ambulance services in Newcastle now, would that be Campbell County taxpayers?
It was previously announced that Campbell County taxpayers are providing medical services to Hulett, Wyoming (in Crook County) by CCH commuting to Hulett to provide those services.
Now it is announced that Campbell County taxpayers will be providing ambulance services to Sheridan, Wyoming (in Sheridan County), by CCH commuting to Sheridan to provide those services.
Gillette News Record, May 7, 2022: "For now, CCH will have its costs covered while helping in Sheridan. But once a deal is reached, the income gained from transporting patients will likely have to cover the costs associated with running the CCH ambulance in Sheridan."
Why not pass on that ambulance purchase to our good neighbor, Sheridan, for $1.23 million? It would probably be cost-effective to sell it to them at a loss rather than invest in long-term provision of ambulance services for their community. CCH is approaching insolvency, and the answer to that is to provide services to other counties at a net loss to Campbell County, so other counties' taxpayers don't have to meet the burden for their own medical care?
Tom Murphy, a member of the hospital board, has already mentioned taxpayers may not want to give them another mil. CCH can get more taxpayer dollars to cover the 1.5 million dollars they owe Medicaid for fraudulent billing, and to cover other debt they incur. At this point the long-range plan appears to be to invest in the socialist state of Colorado in return for no apparent services (by affiliation with UCHealth), and to provide medical care to counties all around the state of Wyoming, while expecting Campbell County taxpayers to foot the bill.
This is insanity. How about we de-fund the Hospital District and allow private enterprise to provide medical care in Campbell County.
Thank you for reading. The purpose of my campaigns is to highlight corruption and to get assistance from anyone who is able and willing to help return Gillette and Campbell County and Wyoming to American Ideals, and hopefully a culture that applies the law equally to all citizens regardless of position or social class. Thank you so much for the efforts you are making and have already made. Please forward to everyone that you know who might be interested in the information I share. God Bless You, and God Bless America.
