This story emerged in January 2022. This woman was recommended by Tom Lubnau, embraced by Adrian Gerrits and the other members of the hospital board during the period of time that they were trying to sway Campbell County Commissioners to allow them to engage with UCHealth; Karen Clarke, spokesperson for CCH who has outright lied to the media in the past, failed to readily disclose requested information as to why this consultant was chosen and how much she was paid.

Actually, I still don't understand why the Commissioners had anything to do with it. Did they kick more taxpayer money to CCH to enable that association?

At any rate, the story closes in May 2022, with this CCH Consultant being sentenced to fines and jail time. It is still not reported how many dollars she was paid to apply her craft in Campbell County on behalf of the Hospital Board.

Both the Casper Star Tribune and the Gillette News Record have reported the story. The Gillette News Record says that the woman was hired by CCH after she volunteered to work for them for free. The stories conflict as to whether she was paid or not, and if so then how much. There was a time in the USA, and even in Gillette, Wyoming, when the news media (and especially the Gillette News Record) would have followed up on that to ascertain and report how much she was paid.

So the bigger story to me is why the amount paid to the woman is classified, along with why the final report omits the names Lubnau and Gerrits; my perception is that newspapers usually re-tell the backstory when someone is sentenced. If these people would just stop the lying and cover-up I would never question deeper than the surface story. As it is I am left wondering how much of the money that the woman went to prison over was returned to her benefactors, in the form of kickbacks, if any.
