06-28-2022    08:40 AM    OPINION    Indecency in Campbell County... sometimes we have standards?

Instead of giving him a $500.00 reward for promoting diversity, or naming him an honorary ALA librarian, a Gillette man was charged with indecency for exposing himself to the world at large, including to a 5-year-old boy.  Talk about mixed signals.  In 2021, responding to parental complaints about images of genitalia and sex acts being pushed on kids aged birth+ at CCPL, local law enforcement and ALA librarians stated that we have no community standards... so how is it even possible to be indecent in Campbell County?

According to Campbell County Law Enforcement it is perfectly legal and proper for ALA librarians to present pornographic illustrations of genitalia to underaged children without their parents' knowledge or consent, and against their parents' protests when they find out.  Alongside those pornographic images, it is legal and proper for ALA librarians to present underaged children with descriptions about how nice it feels to touch their anus and give explicit instructions on how to perform oral sex... but it is illegal and indecent for persons of any age to be exposed to the same visuals outside of a library.

This year Campbell County selects a County Attorney.

Nathan Henkes proclaims himself to be a "professional prosecutor." Because Henkes says he is endorsed by both the Sheriffs and the Police, one connotation can mean that he is willing to send people to prison based on false testimony.  In 2021 Nathan Henkes requested an extra 2 years be added to the sentence on a conviction, citing the reason for extra jail time to be specifically because the defendant chose a jury trial.  Nathan Henkes believes you should spend time in prison for exercising your Constitutional rights.  He also got a man sentenced to 10 years in prison for an accidental death when alcohol was involved, but asked for only 3 years on a deliberate death when alcohol was involved.  Does that sound like a professional prosecutor? To me it sounds like business as usual in the Campbell County criminal "justice" system.  Please do not elect more business as usual!

In his role as Campbell County Attorney, Mitch Damsky has not only met budget expectations but has saved the county $450,000 in unsubstantiated billing from Campbell County Healthcare for Title 25 (5th floor) services.  He also restored powers his deputies did not previously utilize, working with deferred prosecutions.  Deferred prosecution is an agreement between the prosecutor and a defendant for the charges to be dismissed after the defendant fulfills certain conditions, such as probation, restitution, community service, and not committing any other crimes.  Campbell County citizens of all ages have benefited from this approach to addressing lesser violations of the law.

As Campbell County Attorney Mitch Damsky has achieved a 90% conviction rate, 85% felony conviction rate, and holds the record for late disclosure sex-abuse cases.  Late disclosure sex-abuse cases are when survivors of childhood sex-abuse wait for years, often decades, before disclosing to others that they have been victims.  Interesting that those cases never made the news.

Mitch Damsky listens.  When Campbell County citizens filed charges against ALA librarians for harmful material being distributed to kids through the Public Library, Mitch Damsky appointed a Special Prosecutor to investigate the charges.  The Special Prosecutor did not review all the books listed in this article, or other books which include illustrations of pedophilia, but what he did see he stated falls within statewide Wyoming standards, and Damsky let it drop.  Henkes was asked how he would have handled the library situation, and he replied that he would have had it investigated.  Damsky did that.  Damsky is not perfect, but he hasn't tried to imprison people or enhance their sentencing in retaliation for exercising their Constitutional rights.

Vote for Americanism and tough but fair prosecutorial practices in Campbell County - elect Mitch Damsky.

This year Campbell County selects a County Sheriff

Isn't it time for an American Sheriff again? During the illegal and un-Constitutional lockdown in Campbell County in 2020, Sheriff Matheny's officers participated in punishing American citizens who had not violated any law, according to a letter to The Gillette News Record Editor, May 12, 2020.

Matheny's officers have also participated in the City of Gillette Police Department's illegal entries.  These incidents amount to armed home invasions where they hold the residents hostage, under threat of violence, while they send for a search warrant.

Remember this when you vote this year.  Maybe only the names change but, just to send a message, let's make sure that the names do change this election.

This year Campbell County selects County Commissioners.

How about those commissioner candidates? As an experienced debate judge, regarding the candidate forum June 27, 2022, I believe that Jacob Dalby won hands-down, with honorable mention to Butch Knutson and Kelley McCreery.  As a debate judge, how did you vote?

Candidate and current commissioner Bob Maul, who voted to cancel the Democratic Process by silencing our voices at public meetings, said he places the highest value on honesty and morals when he chooses someone for the public boards.  In actual practice Maul does nothing about county-employed Terri Lesley, Executive Director of the Library, who has lied on multiple occasions and who has demonstrated neither ethics nor morals when it comes to books she is promoting to kids and teens, which depict and instruct how to perform sex acts including fisting, pedophilia, sex torture for play, golden showers, and group sex.  When KBAB did a poll asking whether Wyoming public libraries and school libraries should screen book content to make sure it is appropriate for students, 56.48% said YES.

Please do not vote for any candidate for commissioner who has voted to silence our voices, or who has already been shown to be ineffective on the board.

Thank you so much for the efforts you are making and have already made. Please forward to everyone that you know who might be interested in the information I share.
