Ann Turner, owner of The Gillette News Record, has multiple times criticized the uncivil behavior of citizens who are protesting their minor children being educated into sex practices by public librarians. However, Ann Turner's reporter made no mention of the fact that at the most recent Library Board meeting, the alleged LGBTQ+ crowd were disruptive, cat‐called Kevin Bennett while he was engaged in challenging two books, and made so much noise it was reminiscent of being in the audience at a vaudeville play.

Charlie Anderson, formerly a Judge in Gillette and now the head of the Library Board, responded to their behavior by grinning across the room at Bruce Williams and Paul Gerrits, the ones who started the heckling, and then responded not by enforcing the rules the Board set regarding disruptive behavior, but by interrupting Kevin Bennett to ask how much longer he might be.

Bruce Williams writes and speaks incessantly of the importance of freedom of speech, yet there he was initiating attacks against Kevin Bennett, trying to shut him up. Much of Kevin Bennett's book challenges could not be heard due to the noise Bruce Williams was making.

Unfairness is one of the first things you learn in life. Life isn't fair. However, when there are rules, those rules should be applied equally to all.

Charlie Anderson should be removed from the Library Board for his blatant disrespect for the rules - rules that he participated in writing and enacting. Rules for thee but not for me or my friends.

Campbell County citizens deserve better than "leaders" who lie and abuse their power. Please remove Terri Lesley from the Library for her demonstrated lies to the public, and please remove Charlie Anderson from the Library Board for his demonstrated favoritism and unequal application of the rules at Library Board meetings.
